Hi, first posting, just got myself a disco 3 and i am in the process of installing the factory bluetooth, nearly all done apart from the switches on the steering wheel. i have searched the forums but have only found 1 listing where it says about making up a key and pulling on a bar. i could not understand it too well and would like to know if someone could explain it in a bit more detail or a couple of pics would be helpful.
Thanking you in advance
Disco Dave

I recently added audio controls to my steering wheel.
The biggest problem I had was trying to "visualise" what I was supposed to be hooking onto with the bent
coathanger. I took some pics with my N95 and am just trying to find them at the moment.
Will post them as soon as I get them offloaded from the phone. Something that doesn't drink diesel and doesn't cost a bloody fortune everytime it needs serviced / fixed. But hey ....I got a deal from the leasing company on my D3 that you guys can only dream about !

Ah , don't think I'll bother with my pics .... yours are infinitely superior Wiggs.
Only thing worth mentioning is having put the hook through the slot in the steering wheel boss you have to turn it thru' 90 degs so that the point of the hook is facing you and then go in towards the clips to "hook" them.
Oh and don't have the ignition switched on while you are doing all this (just in case).
Removal of horn fuse is probably worth while to avoid annoying the neighbours and ..... brown pants Something that doesn't drink diesel and doesn't cost a bloody fortune everytime it needs serviced / fixed. About to do the same on mine in order to fit the steering wheel phone buttons.
What's the batting order for disconnecting the battery without setting the alarm off? Will this work?
1) Pop bonnet open
2) Open driver's door window and leave car unlocked
3) Make a brew
4) Let car go to sleep - (( P )) on dash goes out
5) Drink brew whilst admiring the piece of work that lies before you
6) Disconnect -ve lead
7) Disconnect +ve lead
8) Cover battery terminals with something (best not use a sheet of copper, for example)
9) Make another brew
10) Take 20 minutes or so to drink this one
11) Go for a wee
12) Begin airbag removal
Anything special required to reconnect it all without setting the alarm off? Just +ve first on the way back?
Cheers,
