Dumped all the coolant?!

Guys,

Started the D3 last night and there was a sound like a stone pinging off something in the depths of the engine.
Started to reverse and the power steering was really heavy and all the coolant was leaking out from under the car!
Turned it off and within a minute or two the whole load of coolant was on the floor.

Had the belts changed 1500 miles ago by Stratston as part of their 599 deal.
I asked them if I needed a new water pump and they said no as it only had 48k on the clock.

Is that the problem, should I have had it changed?

Thanks for any help...

Certainly sounds like the water pump, if that goes then the belt will likely come off or seize affecting the power steering.
You guys are gonna be busier than a test bench in a plunger factory!
