Approved Warranty, are the worth having?

Just put a deposit on a 2010 D4, would it be worth upgrading to a 2 year warranty?
Not even sure how much this costs and whether the warranties are even effective, do LR honour them or
find ways to say "NO" on a regular basis.

If I was buying a D4 2010 model I would get two years approved LR warranty.

I wouldn't get the select one though if that's what's offered.

Hi DJ, thanks for the reply.
Would you care to expand on that? Do you think that they are that unreliable etc

Any idea what they cost.

Thanks

I too am in a quandry
...do I bother & take the risk ?
...go the makers approved route (I assume this is is done by CarCare...from Bradford) ?
....or go to some other provider ?

I didnt have the option of getting a deal at the purchase stage....

I have had little feedabck as regards the actual delivery....i.e. paying up for claims

Some D4's can be excellent and some badly behaved - just like children.

It doesn't take many repairs to match the cost of the warranty so for my money I would get 2 years approved.

Will Murray win Wimbledon and we should all bet £1000 on it now - I have no idea about that either, its a gamble Thumbs Up

Ask whether your dealer offers the car-care-plan warranty under their own name - I got a very good deal on three years' cover when I got mine. Only difference is that if you break down you won't get one of the LRA chaps coming out, but hopefully you won't break down Thumbs Up

I got my D3 last December with a 12 month Landrover Warranty, 6 months trouble free motoring and then a few weeks ago the turbo went, a week later a suspension sensor went and a squealing EPB. All done with no trouble at all at the dealer would have cost me in excess of £3k. I will definitely be going for an extended warranty when this runs out.

The dealership have offered me a 2nd year Approved warranty at their cost price which they will confirm tomorrow. Anyone know how much this is Likely to cost?

Do dealerships do fixed price service packages on discoveries?
