Glow Plugs CHanged now poss issues

Well I plucked up the courage to get my glow plugs replaced by LR as it was a pig to start in the winter.

The work has been done and all are replaced - I have the old ones too.

After driving it for a short trip home every now and then "high range selected" pops up on the display and an audible "bong"

This happens every now and then but does not throw the car into shut down?

Is this something to do with the Transmission Control Module?

Of course LR are saying they never touched this and only touched the top en around the glow plugs - Bit of a coincidence????

Any thoughts remedies I can try myself?

I'd be betting on a poorly made splice corroded in the wiring looms that run along the sills. More and more of these popping up with random error messages. Time to get into your wiring and start tracking down all the little bits of blue tape covering corroded connections.
I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

Could it not be the actual high/low range switch?...

Can this be replaced easily?

Thanks NoDosh
