U0100-87 (FB) Lost communication with engine control module/

Hi all, have an issue with my discovery 3, replaced the egr valves as they were ceased open, which has cured the white smoke and poor running, but still getting these issues:

Start the car up no faults or problems, randomly either when at idle or giving it some stick it brings up engine system fault, transmission fault and hdc fault, it will also sometimes throw in parking brake fault but the parking brake still works.
It will also have no power to drive it forwards more than 3 mph, but will reverse fine.

Battery is good and new
Have checked the transmission control module behind the battery no corrosion inside or on the plugs
Checked the ecu behind that and no issue
No blown fuses in the engine fuse box
Reset the faults and get these two come back sometimes both at the same time and other times one or the other and sometimes none but still the fault on the dash!

U0100-87 (FB) Lost communication with engine control module/powertrain control module 'A' - Bus signal/message failure - missing a message

U0401-68 (2B) Invalid data received from engine control module/powertrain control module - Algorithm based failure - event information

Running out of ideas and not getting anything conclusive online?

Nothing at all?

Only thing I can so far stab a guess at is the dash clocks were repaired and it happened not long after that, could the dash board module cause this?

Any connections I should look at?

I had these intermittently before fixing the egr valves which were stuck open but they haven’t come back since

U2023-86 (AE) Control module network signal calibration data - Bus signal/message failure - signal is invalid

P0003-11 (2C) Fuel volume regulator control - circuit low - General electrical failure - circuit short to ground

Well I finally got a chance to dig the instrument cluster out but didn't find anything wrong with the connection, still suffering the same issue, anyone else able to shed some light on this?

Got a new battery in it today, fired up cleared all the faults ticks over fine no issues, as soon as the rpm hits 3500 I get this:

U0401-68 (2B) Invalid data received from engine control module/powertrain control module - Algorithm based failure - event information

U0100-87 (EB) Lost communication with engine control module/powertrain control module 'A' - Bus signal/message failure - missing a message

Am I looking at a bad canbus issue and where would be best to look? Particular loom connection?

Also just checked the can hi & low at the obd port, initial reading was 0 ohms. Then after a few minutes open circuit, then when I looked back it was at 60.4 ohms, then when I started the car it went short circuit (realised it was caused by the voltage on the can loop when its communicating with ECU's), then to approx 1megohm then open loop again, obviously it should be 60ohm when measured but is it effected when running? Or is that showing the fault?

Got a link? Couldn’t see it on your profile, I’m beginning to think it could be the earth point in the drivers side wheel arch which feeds the engine ecu but haven’t had a chance to check it yet

So another issue is presenting its self now… the car has been sat for ages on a charger but not been unlocked or opened at all recently and I looked inside and the little odometer screen was lit up, it would occasionally blip off but otherwise illuminated and showing the mileage.

The instrument cluster was sent off about 2 years ago for repair when it would just loose all dials and lights and then come back on again…could there still be an issue with the instrument cluster?

Or any ideas on what else can cause the odometer to light up all by its self? Sounding like it could be the culprit

I’ll look at getting it checked under warranty as I believe these repairs are guaranteed for quite some time
