I distinctly recall the Queen issuing the orders to neglect and abuse these children until they died.
No, wait, weren't these bodies found in church run schools? Where's the toppling of all the crucifixes and representations of Christ?
I’m certainly not condoning their behaviour, but the very fact that it’s being discussed here means it was successful.
Properly wouldn’t have been the case if they’d vandalised a local church.
I assume, perhaps incorrectly due to alcohol consumption, that as both Queens were the supreme governor of the Church of England, meant that as head of state of Canada, they’d be significant figures in the church over there.2006 D3 HSE (Original & still the best)-GONE

DRLs
Driving into work this morning in thick fog with loads of numpties assuming that having DRLs also switches on your lights on the rear. The dual carriageway was full of them. Its not the height of the fall but the sudden stop at the bottom that hurts!!

At danger of repeating myself again, the car manufacturers are complicit in the problem as the car’s dashboard is also lit up all the time, so these muppets think they have their lights on. A stupid green light to tell the lights are on doesn’t do it. Back in the day, no dashboard lit up meant no lights on, it was pretty clear.

I'm guilty. On my 2018 RR sport the rear lights did come on with the front, but on the new one they don't. I didn't realise this until I'd had the car a while. Is there a reason why the manufacturers don't enable the rear ones?never drive faster than your guardian angel can fly

@pko, to be honest, what’s the point of DLR’s now that everyone has them, it worked as warning when only a few cars had them, but not anymore.

Like many on here, the idea of the cancel culture is annoying to me. Better to talk about the reality of the past and put it in context than gloss over stuff we don't like. So I was amused that an attempt to cancel some US history has led to more people hearing about it.
A US veteran was giving a speech which included some history. Someone didn't like it and turned off the microphone. But it's now "gone viral" and story is heard much more widely than it would otherwise have been. Veteran later said "this is not the country I fought for."
Oh, and the American Legion has shut down that local group and moved members to other groups. The two people involved have been dumped by the American Legion. All because they didn't want something positive spoken about a group they don't like.Visiting from rrsport.co.uk

National Windscreens
What an absolute shambles this company is ! had a stone chip on my screen on Monday - by Tuesday this had developed into a crack down the full height of the screen so needed a replacement.
Phoned National Windscreens on Tuesday and was told "we'll get you booked in and someone from the local branch will phone you by the end of the day"
Wednesday morning I get a call from the call centre again... "just to check that they have the right details " in other words they've lost the information... again same spiel about "getting you booked in"
Thursday - nothing, tried calling the local branch, firstly no reply, second time put through to a call centre in Leicester (not much help when calling Elgin in North East Scotland), again "the branch will call you back by the end of the day" -- get a call Friday morning from someone Inverness Branch "we don't have a job card for you" ... "and there's no screen on order so we'll look into that too" suffice to say no call back ... still not heard anything and don't even know if they've ordered a screen FFS.
The alternative offered by my insurance company can do it but not until 2nd August !!!I want to see the sweets before I get into your windowless van... I'm not stupid!

Nige, make sure they order you a Pilkington screen, or you'll be having another argument after they fit a Chinese one that doesn't work properly!Richard

Thanks Rich, I think that's part of the issue as I'm asking for a genuine replacement screen and not a cheap Chinese copy... "computer says no" I have found one locally (and got it approved by the insurance company) but now they are arguing over who will pay as the local company won't accept payment directly from the insurance company but are insisting that everything be paid "upfront" before they have even turned up to fit the screen... and at £1400 it ain't cheap !I want to see the sweets before I get into your windowless van... I'm not stupid!
