I have an Engel MT45 on a slide and lock in the boot of my 5 seat, held down with wing nuts and shimmed with repair washers, works very good and is easily removable if I need to get into my boot locker, I must say the Engel is top-notch! D4 TDV6 GS 3.0, Silver, Auto,

Seems OK, 8.3 amps is quite a lot of current and 12v though I think ISTR the Engel is something like 2 amps.

That current draw is normal for that type of fridge, as they use a thermoelectric cooler which likes it's power. Same style as the LR coolerbox in under the armrest uses, and probably a similar power consumption. You can have up to 15A running off the built in accessory socket without any problems - just don't expect your battery to last as long if you've not got the engine running! Sooooo, I'm after one I can leave in the car for 8 hours. Even if I had a second battery, would it last that sort of time? Disco 5 HSE Lux

Depends on the capacity of the battery.
If say you've got a 75AH battery, in theory it can supply 8.3 amps for 9 hours. You would need to make sure that the fridge you're getting wouldn't shut off at too high a voltage. Some of them will turn themselves off at the first sign that the battery is starting to become discharged - the idea being that there's still more than enough power left to start the engine, but this is irrelevent if you've got an isolated second battery.
Also, these things are cool boxes, if the power is cut for a few hours, things are supposed to stay cool. I've got a cheap Halfords one which I've used when I haven't had space in the LR coolerbox and things in it were still nice and cool after being off overnight for around 6 hours. Waeco do compressor fridge/freezers too - in fact you get an extra 10L of space for the same money with a Waeco over the Engel. Disco 5 HSE Lux
