17" AT2 query.

I've just heard that a friend of mine has bought a new base model D3. I know that he'll want to fit AT2's as he's always fitted Goodrich AT2's on his previous D2's.
Am I right in thinking that only the General Grabber AT2's are available in 17" for the D3? If so what size is best? It seems that there are several sizes that will fit?
I know that this subject has been covered many times before, but as I've only ever had 19" wheels, I've never paid much attention.
Thanks.

I was going to fit BFG's but they only do a 265/70/17 which I have heard can rub a little. I opted for the 265/65/17 Grabber AT2 that fits fine, no rubbing and performs well.

Thanks CFB
He does need good off-road capability, so rubbing would be unacceptable.
Cooper ST's could be another option?

Coopers are available in 245/70/17 so closer to standard size. (235/70/17)

Not tried them yet on my own MY05 D3 as yet - will do shortly.
But I understand that on MY07onwards that they do rub a little [due to a chasis extension?]

It's brand new 58 plate.
I've not spoken to him yet, but I'll see him on Sat.
Thought he would appreciate knowing what AT tyre options are available.
Surprised that there isn't a 235/70/17 option yet.
