2012 LR4 Key fob on MY2010

Does anyone know if the new 2012 key fob can be programable to my 2010 LR4? I just saw it for the first time at my dealer and I love the new size and the weight of the new one compared to the brick of a fob on my 11 RR and LR4. Has anyone done this or knows if this is possible?

2012 Key

My 2010 LR4 is in the shop for some smart key issues, and I raised this as well. The dealer wasn't sure if the new key would work but showed me one and I thought it looks cheap, and feels cheap. Perhaps others would disagree, but I'd rather have the nicer key that's slightly larger.
