Got the 18inch AT2's on my standard SE rims for a week now, conclusion:
- MUCH softer ride
- A bit more road noise (sounds more like the muds on my defender now )
- MPG seems unchanged
My previous ones were the GY HP ones, did 60000kms with them

Thought this may be useful - found this US site whilst researching the Grabbers - interesting consumer survey, the AT2's seem to do pretty well. The site also has user comments.

Almost time to re-tyre - I was hoping to check out Grabber AT2s, but it seems no-one in NZ currently imports General. My favourite tyre guy has found that Fulda (Germany) have a 255/60R18 available in NZ. The tread looks very similar to the OEM Wranglers on my vehicle. He recommends the brand, and these have the appeal of being NZ$90 per tyre cheaper than Wranglers. Anyone had any experience with these on a D3? Joe.
