Thanks CW. If not I'll try a phone call tonight.
No local dealer will be able to get them in as Dynamic are the exclusive local agents.
An importer of fork lift tyres told me freight will be about $5 US a kilo. How much do they weigh?
They cost about $290 in the UK and Wranglers are about $400 here. Price is geting close but Wranglers last only 30K km. “There are only three sports: bullfighting, motor racing, and mountaineering; all the rest are merely gamesâ€

I need to have these tyres within 8 weeks or I'll have to buy 17" wheels and tyres. I am not taking the Wranglers into the desert.
Therefore I will even look at importing them if possible. 06 TDV6 SE with many LR and after-market extras. Used only on weekends and trips out west.

Hi there,
I'm currently looking at the BFG AT's in LI265X65x18. They are available in the US and are listed on the BFG web site as a standard sizing. I guy I know owns "The MAg Wheel and Tyre Centre" on Prospect Rd (Adelaide) and they specialise in a wide rahge of aftermaket tyres, so I've adked him to look into importing them.
The advantage of the 65 profile is that it 'airs down' better to give a better footprint and more floatation in sand than a 60 series. Also gives about 10-15 mm more clearance at standard height (useful for hi-crown outback tracks). Disadvantage is that it overgears slightly (although I don't think that's much of a disadvantage).
I've got BFG AT's on my current NM Paj which is fairly well modified and they have done 82K with probably another 10K to go. Not one punture or staking during that time including some pretty gnarly and shaly tracks - the spare has never been off the back door (the proper place for a spare!).
If you're interested, give Tony at "The Mag Wheel and Tyre Centre" and talk to him. I suspect the more calls he gets the more interested he'll get.
Hope to be ordering the Disco in the next couple of weeks, once we've finished the haggling.
Cheers.

BFG AT's are an excellent tyre. I had them on my patrol, and got almost 100k out of them. Brilliant in the bush and on the beach.
Will be very interested to see if you can get them in and the cost.
I am about 6 weeks away from picking up my disco, it would be great if I could swap the OEMs with these...

Geolander AT-S:
265/60/18 are on the Oz site for Yokahama
http://www.yokohama.com.au/ourtyres/tyre.aspx?tyreid=204
http://www.yokohama.com.au/ourtyres/sizing...echart.pdf
Spoke to Rick Rogers of Yokahama Aust. very helpful but not available yet. In non specified production. He says the best he could say is a couple of months. They are the new size to fit the new Pajero exceed so there is going to be more demand so it looks like at least there is an option to the GG AT. “There are only three sports: bullfighting, motor racing, and mountaineering; all the rest are merely gamesâ€

Probably been heard before but just got off the phone to Opposite Lock here in Perth regards the AT2's. Currently they are currently on transit to Oz and should be cleared and ready to go in 2-3 weeks. Fingers crossed!

G'day, been a while since I have been on the site but saw this post and to let you know tomorrow I am having 18inch GMAX rims and AT2's put on the beast. Ive currently got 19's and looked at the now out again MT'R's but weighed up the cost of those versus new rims and tyres and the later won. Will post up some pics when they are on..............can't wait have already shredded 2 HP's

Got my 6 AT2's yesterday, just in time. Replaced Wranglers with 15k on them. The AT2's feel more precise. I will find out next week if them really preform on gravel and in the desert. 06 TDV6 SE with many LR and after-market extras. Used only on weekends and trips out west.
