Remember reading a thread about the price of adaptive lights on an HSE only being a couple of hundred quid and not the £800 odd that they have put in my quote. I have had a bloke's look through the forum but cannot find it. Was I dreaming or am I not looking in the right place? If someone could point me in the right direction please.
Also would love to see some pics and or hear views about galway green
Cheers, Ed

cost of upgrade to adaptive |
|
Hi Edd, it may have been my post. I was originally quoted & charged £846 for a upgrade on the hse when I ordered it in June. It was only with Winger's help I was able to convince the dealer it was only £255.32, & I only got the refund last week, three weeks after getting the D4. never drive faster than your guardian angel can fly

The salesman I spoke with indicated a price of around £900 (inc or ex VAT?). Not that it was an issue because I'm having to go for a stock vehicle.

pko, Winger
Any chance you could let me know the details of how you got your refund please.
I had a discussion with the salesman that the price didn't seem right when ordering mine a couple of months ago but had no collateral to argue with. Due to get car at the end of the month & it would be great to get almost £600 back.
Thanks
Richard

Tell them that the D4 price list is incorrect. The correct upgrade price is shown in RRS price list. LR have acknowledged that the price is not correct in the D4 list, but clearly have not passed this onto the dealer network. Ask you dealer to speak with LR Product Management, who should put them right.
And if the information on the site has saved you a bunch of cash, why not make a small dontation, by hitting the donate button, as way of a thank you.

This is a great site and a mine of excellent information. It amazes me how much more you guys know than the dealers who are supposed to be the experts

Any luck with the dealers. I spoke to my dealer 3 days ago as I ordered an D4 HSE 2 weeks ago and liked the adaptive lights on my old D3 HSE. Happy to pay 200 odd quid but not 800. Haven't heard back yet though

Hi
Finally got my dealer to agree to a rebate earlier this week - Hopefully the actual money will follow soon. (donation as soon as I get it ) Interestingly they said that L/R were not going to update their price list & when I checked a few minutes ago the online price is still the same. Seems like they are happy to charge the larger amount unless anyone actually queries it
The lights however are great

Spoke to dealer today. Prices are shown as original £800 odd. Getting him to call me back now as was left a message on phone. Hopefully will be able to change my order as ordered 2 weeks ago today. Don't want to add it to options until price is right

This failure to update the price list when the correct pricing is known, risks the impression being created of deliberate sharp practice - surely it's not so difficult to update an online price list
