where is ambient temperature sensor ?

Hello,

The outside temperature of my dashboard is showing -2 eventhough it is 17deg outside, it doesn't happen all the time, it is intermittent, I wonder if i need to replace the ambient temperature sensor ?

Behind the grill, I found this sensor surrended in red, what is this sensor ?
From I can find online, the ambient temp sensor is located behind the bumper not behind the grill, so I wonder what is this sensor near the horn if anyone know ?

vehicle : Discovery 4 HSE landmark 2016.

The sensor is behind the front bumper, pop out the driver side head lamp and you'll see the plug underneath. Might just need a clean of the contacts.

thank you, I have removed the front towing hook cover, and luckily I was able to see the temp sensor hanging...

I was able to replace it fairly quickly and attached it back with a cable tie, apparrently it should be on the rusty metal mount on the picture but seems to be broken.

I will let you know in few days, but at first sight the external temperature seems more accurate now.

Note : the part costs £20 incl. VAT at LandRover dealer, part number JTF000052

It didn’t make any difference…. There is a massive difference in the temperature showing on the dashboard, 10deg difference and when on the motorway it fluctuates so much (every few minutes).
Back in town, still 10deg difference.

Any idea what could be the problem?
