The "Landy Wave" developed as a direct result of Defender/Series owners needing to make friends with enough other drivers of such vehicles for when they broke down . Also it was an acknowledgement to a fellow addict (probably find something similar happens at AA meetings)
Having said that I do miss it when driving the disco

I keep waving, but its very seldom I get a response. Seems like there are a lot of near-sighted D3 drivers out there. Maybe we should flash headlights at each other or something?
Get lots of Defender/Series drivers waving at me, but mine does stand out a bit Craig

To be honest the only time I got a wave from a D3 driver was in the Kruger. D3 drivers are not in the same waving mood as the the Defender drivers. In actual fact they tend to look the other way when they see another D3 on the road. No point in starting the waving thing as not many D3 drivers come onto this website. If you look at the number of people contributing on this site from South African side its small. Oh well what the hell, D3 great car to drive at any occasion.
