On the noise issue try this to hear what it would be like.
On A or B roads about 50mph, turn off your stereo and set up your heater blower to blow air only out the top/screen setting and turn your blower dial to show three lights on. The sound of the blower is close to the sound of the MT/R's on road.
On motorways do the same but turn your blower to 4. This is close to what MT/R's sound like at 70mph.
Rude and crude, but it's pretty close I think. 
For max speed, forget about sounds. Imagine driving through a freshly sprayed field as thats what your pants will smell like
