2005 Discovery 3 TDV6 SE Manual Bali BlueDiscovery 3

Copious ammounts of penetrating oil on the cable and mechanism while somebody else moves the lift catch back and forth worked for me, once it's all freed off a quick dab of grease to help prevent re-ocurrence....simples. (unless it's too far gone and you need a new cable)

i've had the remains of a peg wedging the contacts on mine closed for years....
