My Thule bike rack (I think it's Thule) has a plate behind the tow ball so i can still tow and carry the bikes. Thumbs Up

It's similar to the "hang on" model but fits on a plate behind the tow ball. I can find the model number if needs be.

I’ve managed to acquire 2 more Thule 598 cycle carriers so I can put all 4 bikes up on the roof bars. I’m not the tallest at 5’10 so wondering what others use to climb up and attach/remove bikes, especially from the middle carriers.

Thanks

The ladder on the tail gate, of course.

I wouldn’t be able to reach the bikes nor the carrier release from the tailgate though. Need access from the side

We use the caravan step or a Youngman foldable decorators trestle / step up.

My bro gave me the step as a b’day pressie and at the time I thought wtf 😳

But it’s been the best pressie ever 🙏

I use the ladder to climb all the way up onto the roof. Great view from up there!
