Changes to Sat Nav whilst moving..... |
|
Hi,
Pick mine up yesterday.... Chuffed to bits !
Has anyone (apart from Winger) managed to turn the 'Speed Inhibit' off?

The setting that prevents the touch screen working whilst the vehicle is moving should be switchable.
Enter the Home menu page, then press and hold the display in the centre at the top of the screen for approximately 5 seconds and then press the navigation hard key. A Diagnostic PIN Entry box will appear, type in the access code 753. A Menu screen will be displayed.
Go to the Vehicle Signals screen and turn the speed inhibit setting to off.

I have followed his instructions and I can get to the screen, but I cannot change the setting. It just says 'On/Off'!
I do understand why it is set like this, it's just a 'pain in the rear' to stop and make changes/etc.
Is it software version dependent? Should I access the menu with the ignition on stage 1, stage 2 or with the engine running?
Any ideas?
Martin

So does anyone know of a 'friendly dealer/independent garage' with a T4/Testbook....?
I'd be happy to pay someone to get this fixed.
Any takers out there (pref. in the South of England).

I had a long discussion with a LR engineer - not only with my dealer - about how to be able to change the target or to see tmc while driving. His answer was that neither the nealer nor LR is able to enable or disable this.
When somebody is able to get the whole sat nav enabled whil driving by the dealer it will be great.
But you shuld keep in mind that to have a testbook is not enough:
there are two parts, the dealer is able to change only some ten parameters by the testbook. The LR engineers are able to change some hundred parameters with the testbook. To enter this menue 753 is not enough, the password is much longer and my dealer dont know it.
