Did you swap cars between tesco trips to get the beers for the desert jolly. Might explain the suspension fault

Not wishing to throw daffodils watercress, but I don't suppose Mrs DSL isn't waiting for the self-check to finish before starting up?
Edit : Sigh, easier to understand if I'd got it right. Daffodils are Narcissus , not NasturtiumsDr. Ian Malcolm:

Transgenic tomato anyone?

Can that cause trouble? I do that all the time and never get an engine fault. The car bongs at me and tells me to start the engine (even though it's running) before pushing the lever to raise, but that's all. It really doesn't like being rushed.
Hope it's nothing major Derek!Have a nice day!

I don't know Jamo; the only time I've seen a check engine light was when I got the key in, turned and cranking in less than half a second (as I used to do this with my old car). Engine ran rough and light came on.
Turned it off and did the slower start up and all was fine.
I could of course have added 2 and 2 to make 7 and it was just coincidence.Dr. Ian Malcolm:

Your probably right about the cause. If a signal misses the bus....
I've had six lots of Normal Height Only's.
2 from knackered compressors. 1 fixed under warranty 1 paid for by me due to no warranty
1 from a knackered steering angle sensor. Fixed under warranty
2 from stubble getting caught in a height sensor and causing a exception. Fixed by removing offending article and rebooting.
1 from no apparent reason. Fixed by rebooting.
The D3 really is a sensortive little flower. Have a nice day!

Jamo - not waiting for the self check to finish can cause fault messages, I used to get the odd engine system fault but mostly Transmission fault messages when I did not wait for the self check to finish.1996 Discovery 1 300TDI ES Biarritz Blue, sold

Stapldm, she always waits for the bong! She's been well trained in the dark arts of Landrovers.
Seriously, sad to hear about the old girl. Hope it's nothing serious. You seem to have a habit of problems with EGRs and things and to be fair, you ain't the most 'spirited' driver in the world so it can't be due to abuse - unless Mrs DSL is a secret girl-racer when you're not there. @DSL just thought it was worth a check.
@JMC I suspect that as the EGRs remain closed during more spirited driving they're more likely to get a lot more use when the car is driven more sedately.Dr. Ian Malcolm:
