D3 Cubby Fridge - 500ml Bottles of water

I was going out at the weekend and decided to take some cold bottles of water and wanted to put them in the fridge to keep them that way.

I tried, but the bottles were to tall for the Fridge lid/ coin tray Banging Head ............ That was when SWMBO picked up the tray, chucked the coins elswhere and then put it on upside down....... Shocked genius! it worked, 500ml bottles fit perfectly.

I love this forum! Do you know that has annoyed me for the last 18 months and I've never sussed it out!
Brilliant! Many thanks!

It is tricky to get a hold of that way up though but yes, bottles can be accommodated Thumbs Up

I don't know who designed the fridge but it's bang-on for 500ml cans of beer.

These come in really handy on long drives where the wife takes over for the last hour or so.... Very Happy

I did mention this in the Cubby box revival Group Buy last week Whistle

A year or so ago they were a tenner, goodness knows how they get away with their rip off prices now! I would definitely not pay more than ten pounds for it, it's pretty useless and just gets in the way.

It is worth reading my posts you never know what you may learn Mr. Green

Ermmmmmmm you do realise that the handbook says exactly that about flipping over the coin tray. Apparently the coin tray will even stow away on the arm rest lid Wink

Handbook? What is this handbook you speak of? You know RTFM is a completely alien concept to most drivers. Whistle

Yeah, if I'm not mistaken there are four lugs under the arm-rest that the coin tray slides into. Wink
