D3 falls within higher Road Tax Bracket.

It would appear that both D3 and RRS owners will be paying the new £210 pa Road Tax figures.

Band G only applies to cars registered on or after 23 March 2006 (tomorrow) onwards, everything prior to that falls into F

You're right. £195 for diesels, £190 applies to petrol engines. Band G is £215 for diesel, £210 for petrol

Had to be expected really. I just hope its not the start of something more persecuting, going beyond £40 in the future.

My tax is not due until November, so not panicing yet!!

Besides, my most polluting car costs nothing to tax Razz

I wonder how much mark up the dealers will put on the extra £40 road fund licence, when they "Tax the Car for you" ahead of delivery.

No..... they wouldn't would they.... I'm sure in reality they'd absorb that cost themselves Laughing

And how bloody well thought out is that ? If Gordon is this clever with numbers the UK don't stand a chance if he takes over from Bliar.

Anybody have the slightest idea on emissions after a TC or SChips upgrade, and would or could this be taken into account when applying for new tax. I realise that all of our D3s will still be band F/G (based upon date of purchase), but the difference in pre and post upgraded cars would be interesting to note. Maybe TC already has some figures. Another point to look at is what the REAL emissions of each D3 are. If LR state that the car will do a combined 27mpg, but really some do 20mpg and others 32mpg, what range of emmissions do the differing engines produce. In theory, a 32mpg Manual D3 would have an emmissions level of 210g/km - well inside Group F, with the automatic not far behind at about 230g/km but still in Group G. At 21.7mpg, my own D3 needs a group of it's own Embarassed
