D5 rear ??
So my D4 will be 3 years old in Oct - not sure if D5 is growing on me yet, so a question. Once or twice I have seen a D5 and thought that looks OK (when compared with other D5's I've seen), so I am trying to work out what it is that makes some look better than others. One thing I think is the roof rails add something to the roof line. Privacy glass seems to help also. The other is the black number plate surround, and the final think I think is the nappy (the bit in the bottom center of the back bumper). There appears to be 3 different versions, a ribbed one, a rather bulbous one, and a flatter one with (I think) the oblong exhaust trims showing each side (altough I might have that bit mixed up).
The thing is, from the LR website, which of the above comes with which model/options?

Great question. I'd like to know which one this rear bumper is as I think it's far better than the 'fat bottom lip' look. Sorry for the poor pic it's off a dashcam

Last week I saw a silver one parked up. It had I'm assuming a black pack and I have to say it looked quite smart. The rear number plate still looks odd to me but the black pack really helped the whole rear end.
Think it had side steps as well.
The D5 does seem to be very colour dependant. Unfortunately they have priced it way above what I can justify!! Today is the oldest you've been and the youngest you'll ever be again.

They are different styling packs ...the darker lower panels tend to suit best IMO
tbh forget about the rear ...you never look at it when driving, nobody outside of this forum has mentioned it to me in 6+ months and you will quickly grow to appreciate it for what it is ..which is a lovely motor

I have just fitted the black number plate to mine and I like the look and think it really changes the rear.
As for the lower bumper trim, that depends on the tow bar fitted, each tow bar has a diffrent lower skirt.
I have just obtained the two exhaust trim but as I have a detachable tow bar the rear skirt is a diffrent colour to the exhaust trims so got to get that sorted before I fit themMY17 D5 1st Edition Namib Orange

Get one, change the number plate to standard and paint the grey bumper bits black.
In the Beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

I have a black pack on white, so the rear looks like this ...the lighter grey tone is a balanced contrast IMO

@James - that pic has the center number plate, so might also have the styling back from the outfit in Germany I think its was as it has round rear exhausts as well
so from what you guys are saying, the ribbed one is no towbar, and the other two are dependant upon which towbar you have - is that right?
I do tow, dont fancy the cost of the electic towbar, so which rear end would I end up with?

I’ve been doing some work at a factory where they make tailgates for LR and I noticed there seemed to be a lot of empty d5 crates about compared to the other models which made me wonder if there was a redesign on the way?D3 x2 now gone

This is two pictures of mine, this has the detachable tow bar fitted and you do not have to take the trim off to attach the tow bar, it fits fine with the trim in placeMY17 D5 1st Edition Namib Orange
