I think white with Black pack is one of the best colour combos for the D5.

OK, so that one with the exhaust trims looks like the center bit is ribbed, but is different to the bog standard ribbed version, and the black bit above in is gloss black, not the matt plastic finish
so what would you order to get the rear like the pic above, and could you still have a towbar with that rear?

Mine is a 17my HSE Dynamic (not Black pack) The Dynamic has the extra black bits not the Black pack. I didn't want any silver/grey on the vehicle so I had all the silver/grey painted black. (including the centre of the discs and calipers)
This is the car as new when I collected it.

I have removed the rear lower (nappy) panel and left if off as its easier to attach things to the recovery point. I also tow a lot and as you can see I have a removable tow hitch.

Looking at all these pictures now after the time the D5 has been out. So many lines every where, can't figure it out. Is it an inspiration on the past D1,2,3,4, a contemporary design?... whats wrong with it, it's a acquired taste, but no, this car is a mess.

Same as Russell’s, but with towball on. I do pity anything that hits the back, the towbar is one seriously solid bit of kit.
The rear aesthetics could be more co-ordinated, but it doesn’t bother me tbh.

OK, so if I order one with the towbar I get the bulbous rear nappy, if I order without I get the flatter ribbed version. What happens if you have the flatter version and then buy a towbar, do you have to swap the center trim to fit over it?

Yes, if you get a LR dealer fit towbar after you get the car, it comes complete with electrics included. You do have to pay for the replacement bulbous rear skirt. It’s extra - £70 odd for the one I’ve got. FYI, the original rear centre skirt won’t fit. It’s quite tight in there! Particularly when the electric socket swivels up and out of sight when not in use.
The whole lot including fitting and VAT is just over £1k. I did a bit of negotiating and got it down to £870, but a lot of dealerships were sticking to the RRP.

over a friggin grand and they cant even sleeve the towbar wiring all the way into the socket
