I think the V8 will only be used for the FSRR, but those V8 super charge engines are also coming up with issues now, my mechanic in LA said. I am waiting on the new Defender see what happens with that.

No the second row slide forward manually and then tilt electrically for access to third row.
Some people were saying when at the dealer launch that when people were experimenting with the rear seats the drivers seat moved forwards towards the steering wheel. Happened to a couple of people I know. Has this been altered now to stop it happening? They did say it was a bit unnerving to suddenly head towards the steering wheel!!
Without being accused of being a D5 apologist those Dealer Tour cars were a long way from the finished item and had people clambering all over them, and raising and lowering seats etc. When we left it was flashing warning lights like a Christmas Tree. It happened to me, and it was strange when unexpected but it was just far enough forward to clear the second row seat folding. To be fair it would be unlikely to happen unless Bear Gryllls was free falling from a passing plane while testing the seat app.
They also had many parts that were not production quality and even many items actually missing (same for the launch event cars at the factory).

That is correct, the 3.0L S/C V6 gas and 3.0L TD6 diesel in the States.

In the US, V8s were phased out after MY13, replaced by 3.0 V6 supercharged 340HP, 332ft-lb torque, similar in specs to the new D5. I've driven a 2015 model, and compared with my '12 LR4, I wasn't very impressed with the overall acceleration lag coming from full stop. I am hoping the 1000 pound weight loss on the D5 will make up for the difference.
