Hope your felling better soon.
I'm sure someone will post some photos for you. ( PS I make sure I have a beer for you )

Loving the new pinstripes , all part of a days fun though
Thanks to WayneD and Jonesy, was good to be welcomed in a RRS ( well we share the same chassis, Terrain Response and a few other gizmo's ).
All up a great day out- great weather, scenery, challenges on the trail - enough to make you concentrate but no casualties or major damage. Did we miss out on a hangover??

Many Thanks to Rob & Wayne for running this trip.
Only got "Misplaced" once or so.
Great fun, good tracks and scenery.
Enough stuff to keep everyone interested too.
After we left you guys we went back to that spot and had a great night with a good campfire.
Pretty cold first thing - 0 degrees but our fire still had a log with embers so it didn't take long to get it warming us up nicely. By the time we had breakfast & packed up camp I was down to just jeans & a T/Shirt.
We did however have a very interesting thing happen -
Ian was sleeping in his car with Nick my son and myself in the tent.
Ian looked out his window and thought he saw me taking some photo's of our camp.
He opened up his top tailgate to be greeted by these two guys in full camouflage gear carrying bow & arrows!
Not the sort of thing you see at 7.15am, they where on foot no vehicle.
They said do we have a permit to camp!
Ian replied "Permit"?
We are in a state forest, yes he said do you have a permit?
No we do not, Ian replied.
Are you hunting the guy said.
No we where just driving through and decided to camp here. Ian replied.
Funny enough he said Ok and walked off!
I checked out the State Forest website as we have camped in State Forests for many / many years without ever being asked if we had a permit. No such thing on there but I will call them to ask the question why this can happen.
Our guess is that they where hunters which you do need a permit for.
Everyone would remember seeing that Red/Brown Commodore parked in the forest.
We passed it again on Sunday morning but in a different spot, maybe their car.
Felt like leaving a message on their windscreen asking if they had a permit!
Anyway we drove off to Portland and then through back country into the Turon River.
Some more interesting driving / Mud / Rocks / River Crossings.
I'll post some photo's when I get a chance.
Regards to all

Hunters are allowed in state forests, you have to have a permit, I believe there are criteria to meet though.
Some areas are designated for hunting.“There are only three sports: bullfighting, motor racing, and mountaineering; all the rest are merely gamesâ€

Rich - I'd say you're lucky they were carrying bows not banjo's....
To the "Hampton Bunch" great to meet you - Mel and I had a wonderful time sharing the 4WD adventure and the evening adventure afterward with you all!!!
Special thanks to Jonesy and WayneD for organising a terrific day and leading us through the bush.

What a fantastic day we all had! There were six D3s, two RRS', and a Landcruiser - a good number of cars for a trip like this.
The group assembled at the Mt Victoria Caltex as planned, with Jonesy the last to arrive (sorry!) . After getting across the intersection and onto the Great Western Highway with a lot more ease than expected, we made our way towards Hampton, with WayneD in the lead and Jonesy as tail-end Charlie.
We then regrouped on the roadside at Hampton, where Rob Hollonds met his daughter. Baggy and Jonesy aired down their tyres:
WayneD then rounded up the troops and we were off! First intersection was overshot, so we headed back to WayneD's secret location - where he prefers to air down tyres. You will not see a prettier place to air down!
After the tyres were sorted, we headed off again into Hampton State Forest.
It was then a typical run through Australian bush - climbing up hills...
and then down hills:
Sometimes, it was hard to see the forest for the trees!
WayneD took us to a lovely spot for lunch beside a waterfall.
Well, it was not quite Niagara Falls!
There were a few spots which were fun:
Some challenging:
and at the steps before Bonfire Hill:
In the end, we all reached the top:
Then descended the hill, through the forest and the odd puddle here and there, until we reached the entry. ~Rich~ and Ian (Landcruiser) then headed back into the forest to camp. Mr Andrew and dukemasterpro (Rich) headed back to Sydney. The remainder went back to the Hampton Halfway Hotel. I won't say any more about Saturday night - except that the beers were cold, the red wine complimented the food well, and we all had a great time!
We were lucky in so many respects - everyone made it through without a popped tyre or other mishap; the weather was about as good as it gets for winter; and we had WayneD take us on a great trip through a lovely piece of the bush - where we all explored what our great vehicles can do! 8)
As others have said - a big thanks to WayneD for leading the trip.
Thanks to everyone for being such a great bunch of people! I think everyone had a ball.
Thanks to Rob Hollonds and Zilch for some of the photos!
Looking forward to the next trip!
Cheers,
Jonesy
