Digital TV, wont allow me to select?

Discovery 4 Lux

We have DVD working fine but selecting Digital TV doesnt seem to want to work at the moment? Press the source for it but it does nothing? I've order a new TV control as this was missing, does it only work off this? As a safety feature for rear only? Is there anything you have to sign up for? For licensing purposes?

Any help appreciated?
