Hi there,

I had the same "christmas tree" issue on mine, working on the EPB connector.
Since we're only in Nov. and not end of Dec yet, I was surprised.

Reading this topic helped me understand.

I plugged the EPB connector back, everything worked.

EARTH CABLES... !!

Can;t guarentee it is this, but I suddenly got 'park brake' and 'gear box' faults on the dash, then got a 'system management' warning and the car then wouldn't restart. The dash lights wopuld come on, but the gear lever wouldn't come up and no sign of starting.

Took a while to pinpoint, but it turned out the two earth cables from battery to chasis and battery to bodty had corroded. New earth acables in place and BOOM - back on the road.

Had any battery warning lights lately? or electrical anomalies like radio switching in and out of low power mode? A bad or dying alternator and/or battery will cause this. Any issues with water leaks? Wet carpeting or wet smell on warm days? Have you dealt with the dreaded and inevitable sun roof drain issues? When
the passenger's front drain goes(and it will), it will dump water on the fuse panel behind the lower glove box....The drain tubes themselves are fine..it is the softer rubber grommet tip that disintegrates...Turns into soft chewing gum....

Hey MrLovell,

I have kind of the same symptoms.
Which earth cables to the chasis were corroded in your case ?
Under the bonnet or in the passenger compartment bellow the Central Junction Box ?

Thanks for your help,
