The Disco Dream has come true!
After wanting a Disco for about 5 years - known as my Disco Dream to all my friends - I have finally done it!
Picked up a 2011 D4 XS last week - buckingham blue with almond leather
It was spec'd up a bit by the original owner; electric seats, tints, roof rails, keyless entry, auto headlights etc. and has been well looked after. A reps car i think, so quite a few motorway miles.
That brings me on to my one concern.... its just gone over 90,000 miles. I'm sure this is fine and it will go on for another 100,000 without too much bother. But maybe someone could reassure me??
That aside, i'm so happy with it and can't stop looking at it on the drive! Keep finding excuses for a drive
Already thinking about a trip to see bas for a potential remap and the unlocking of some extras on my screen!
Cheers, Chris

Hi Chris. Welcome to the forum. I'm not too far from you (nr Marston Meysey). Plenty of high-milers on here. Presumably you're nearing the belts-change service (if D4 schedule is the same as D3) at 105k. I had mine done early due to oil-pump concerns but they don't affect the D4. Consensus seems to be that ride quality can be affected by the shocks/dampers after you get over 100k miles. Apart from that it's just the typical bank account drain of a low-miler .
If you're looking for upgrades, I'm hoping site sponsor Geoff might be over this way sometime soon to fit my emulators. Worth bearing in mind if you don't get it done before.2016 Skoda Octavia VRS Estate

Welcome
Just make sure you get your timing belt changed at 105,000.
On the whole, tehse engines are pretty rock solid. You will always get some failures, but your year on the whole is pretty good.
All you need now then, is reversing camera, 4x4 info screen, Timed Climate and remote control

I think it's a case of whatever works for you. If you're getting a remap done at BAS anyway, then I'm sure those guys can do it. Or drop Geoff a PM (username geoff. on here - note the "."). Or get Bodsy to do it when he's in town.
Flack & Geoff did my belts and Geoff has done lots of other work on my car. He knows his stuff. 2016 Skoda Octavia VRS Estate

Not far from you either in the not so sunny (at the moment) Stroud. My MY11 XS has recently passed 75k so not as high but will defo be there within 9-10 months I expect.
Still using main $tealer but neither of us are far from Tim Fry and he's rec'd some fairly positive feedback on the forum. Could be trying him soon.Front Runner Rack, OEM Ladder & RAI, Tuff-Trek Foxwing, B'rakhah Ingonyama Expedition Trailer, RLD's Spare Wheel Protector, Bodsy's Bars, Empty Pockets! I thought of Tim Fry too.
