At 90k your gearbox will need some love otherwise it will follow the unfortunate path set by the D3.

Saw your quotes on services.
CMS landrover Specilaists - Ebley Road - Stonehouse- might be another option.
Had my alternator & battery replaced there - after it fried itself- towed in Thursday late PM car back Friday mid afternoon. excellent service.
See you around - I'm not far from you - Stroud - way.
AckersLearning everyday!

Good range of stuff on advanced factors
Ordered the bulb upgrades earlier and will be looking to order the gearbox oil change kit and rear break disc/pad kit soon.
Thanks for recommending 'CMS' - didn't find them on any of my web searches. Will be giving them a call next time for a quote!

What kind of gear box love?
the service schedule is I believe filled for life...which is true if you accept its not going to last that long...in my case 89k. I am very very angry about this. A vehicle of this cost & type should last longer than this & all it needs is say 40k oil changes.
Get it flushed & add DR Tranny..then you have a fighting chance you won't have to invest in a new box or box rebuild. Also do the other boxes too - as soon as you can or can afford.
I learnt the hard way.
...other issues you do as you need to or can afford to.
Brakes are important (if you what to stop quick, at all or be legal)..consider upgrade to V8 ones
PS welcome to the mad house (mad about all things Disco 3/4)BREXIT - done properly.
Right now ...We need Government - not Politics
Save the Dipstick Flagbearer-keep it simple, less likely to fail campaign-agenda items:Starting Handles, Acetylene Lamps.
Founder: Dipsticks-R-Us Inc
D3 HSE-perfectly formed, passenger friendly...has real DIPSTICK
Jag XK-but sadly no DIPSTICK...HUGE design fault
FL2 has DIPSTICK..."real comfort in rear seats"
VW Golf wondermobile (?)..has real DIPSTICK
Morris Minor..original DIPSTICK technology..and a real KEY.

all these horror stories about gearboxes is a bit unnerving and is a bit of a joke - after spending so much money on my disco the last thing I need is for the box to give up!
Anyway, she's booked in for a flush and new oil. Everyone keeps mentioning Dr tranny...
At the moment there isn't any shudder etc. so instead of the little red tube of instant fix I have come across their ATF protectant;
