Disco just stopped

Hi guys so driving a country road low speed on corner thank god when my disco just stopped , like a crisp packet bing crunched for a couple of seconds then nothing display said flat battery it wasn’t and gearbox fault , but with car in neutral the engine won’t turn over with a bar on the crank so is this the dreaded crankshaft journal fault that so many have had ..?. Any thoughts please

I am no mechanic, but I would not try to turn it over, get it recovered home or your mechanic for a good check before doing anything else.

Best of luck.

Yes thoughts just didn't want to start looking if I didn't have to not as you g or able as I was lol ,was a mechanic back in the day but several years and a knackered back put paid to that , tried with the bar ,tried and tested way back inthe day so I suspected and of course land rover turning a blind eye to what is a manufacturing fault. Thanks again nowt find a de ent rebuilder as body off stops me even considering doing it .
