I had been pricing up a spare 22mm socket, a 3/8th to 1/4 inch adaptor, and cutting the handle off a screwdriver with a 1/4 drive that's lost the magnet, welding (or gluing it) all together so it sticks up through the floor and into the boot... might end up costing me a tenner (will keep an old 1/4 drive socket in the rear cubby) Laughing but won't look as pretty as your solution Mr. Green

If you could take a photo of the workings of your neat little gadget I'd be very grateful Bow down

I think ill have to just make one of these. Its a shame but its just too far and it doesn't look like anyone can collect. Or I can wait and see if Dean decides to sell it after his little jolly to Devon! Ironically were in Devon now but leave on Saturday.

Hi nige

No probs my friend , I’ll take it apart and indeed take some pics for u

I’ll get in done in the next few days for u Thumbs Up

Also wonder with the original spare wheel winch that has the 22mm shape nut on it

if u can drill it, use a tap to cut a thread and then put a re bar with a lock nut in the end , or some lock tight , cutting the re bar to length and then use 2 x nuts on the end to put a spanner or socket on the end

Or as u also say ref welding, maybe threaded bar on the end of a socket

Hope that sort of makes sense

and according to Google Maps, whilst it may add 1hr30m to the trip, it's only 40 miles longer !!!

Given the supposed 4h30m trip back took 9h+ last time, diverting through Brecon might actually save me some time!
