What is Easy Start??

Is it like WD40 or something? If so, where are you supposed to spray this on a diesel engine?

excellent stuff ..spray it in the air intake ..and start car . I use it at work for determining fueling issues on diesel engines .

Used to use it in heavy plant in very cold weather aswell

So it turns over but doesn't start?
What does the fuel gauge read? Possible fuel sender fault\damage to fuel tank giving mis-reading.
Any fault codes logged?
Does it turn over at normal speed?

But what exactly is it and how does it work?

Apart from covering up my ignorance Laughing , it might help us to figure out the OP's problem by knowing how it allowed the engine to start when it previously wouldn't....

Contains Ether ..highly flamable ..

you can turn of the fuel supply and start the car with easy start ...if you continuously sprayed in the air intake it would also run the car ( a bit lumpy ) ..not reccomended though Shocked

So it would seam a fuel issue ..as the easy start bypass's the cars fuel

Why would they go to the trouble of removing two injectors if there were no fault codes stored? How did they know which two to remove?

Sorry but it doesn't make any sense to me....

Are you sure that they have a diagnostic tool capable of reading the D3 correctly?
