Discovery 3 Air suspension errors

Hello everyone,

I am a fairly new Discovery 3 owner and recently I have invested a lot of time and money to get this Disco fixed and working properly. To provide a bit of context, this is what I have done to it:
Replaced all 4 bags and shock absorbers (brand new)
Replaced front, mid and rear valve blocks (also new)
Replaced air compressor (agin new)
Now I still get a suspension related problem but this is an odd one. Whenever I start the car, the compressor works but a lot, more than 30 seconds. If the car is stationary, after a while i get a suspension error. Either a simple one or recently the one that states: Normal height only/special programs off.
Thing is, if I start the car and immediately after (in 20-30 seconds) I start driving, that error will not appear and the compressor will stop without any fault codes. Could it be that there are some leaks around the air reservoir and the overheat safety on the compressor is kicking in or is this something else.
Another issue that I know of is that one height sensor is reading larger value and that makes the car lift and lower constantly when stationary. Do you guys now if the EasyLift module has the option of sensor calibration or I need a specific tool for that?

After a lot of money invested, many people from the local off road community suggested to sell the car or replace the air suspension with spring ones. Selling the car is out of the question because with all its problems, this is one of the best cars I had and replacing the suspension is an option but as a last resort. Selling all the new air bags and everything I invested would allow me to get the conversion kit, install it and have some extra money left.
Photo uploaded is just for reference/showoff, nothing to it.

Thank you all!

An autel ap200 is a cheap way to calibrate if required and read fault codes.

You probably need the codes to help fix

So Autel AP200 is a good affordable option for sensor calibration and all?
Looking at prices in my area, I see the affordable part being really accurate and since I don't have any device like this, always asking for others to help, I will opt on buying one.
I am also curious of any experiences with the EasyLift module, I see it has a bit of customisation and better control over all the air suspension system.

Thank you for the reply BTW, I appreciate it!

yes.
There are different versions of the AP200 with a letter on the end.
Make sure the one you get does suspension calibration.

The white ones are the best if they are still available.
You use them with your smart phone

If the air compressor is a different brand this usually requires a software update. (if AMK)
Consider fitting the old item if it works.

Yes an air tank leak is also worth investigation.

I'm surprised you haven't replaced that level sensor if you know it causes the car to constantly move

I have found one Autel AP200 available in my area, the one that supports all the functions including key programming and as you mentioned, they are very limited.
Regarding the sensor, i have tried to buy one and same thing from all resellers here, no longer available. I will try to manually calibrate it and if that will not work, I will opt from overseas delivery.
The problem i know it has is that the left sensor reads 20mm + compared to the right one and this causes the car to lift and then set back and so on. I think the only way to calibrate the sensors is using such Autel type tool. I don't know of any other options.

As some extra information, the compressor is the AMK one, yes, and there are no leaks in the actual system except the reservoir or lines leading to it. The good part is that now after all the repairs, I tested the suspension, lifted, removed the suspension relay to avoid auto level and the car has not dropped at all over one week of sitting in the same place.

All the parts I got from Aerosus, Germany based company dedicated to air suspensions. Very good prices compared to the prices my resellers have here. As en example, with the money my resellers asked here for a compresor, I was able to buy all bags with absorbers and a new compressor. Another reason why finding sensors at a decent price is an issue here.

You need to get fault codes ,have you checked the 3 plugs in the front wheel arch , the blue plug with the main power wires to the compressor is a favorite for the little black and yellow wire breaking .

Hi,
for a simple sensor function check, you can also check and basic calibrate the system with a voltmeter. Maybe the photos can help.
