Passed inspection. No notes this year.
Massive congrats
Funny enough also read some of the USA forums ref the petrol V8’s , ie, timing chain tensioner guides etc, alas can’t remember if it’s the 5.0 where the front thermostat housing at the front of the engine splits and there some aluminium upgrade
Admittedly not read much about the later D5 3.0 petrol engines and if there any better
Happy new year and once again congrats on the disco passing

Hi Gary
Yes iv seen Bacon he is our local mp iv posted that my self. He is miles better than boris's brother who we had forced upon us by the local Conservative party not that I bother to vote. He does seem to speak a bit of common sense greatly lacking in government.
Re the timing chains, that's the 5.0 engines the 4.4 jag D3s seem pretty bullet proof. Let's hope.

Hiya
Many thks and indeed does sound like he’s trying his best , plus wow , ref the fines £180 then reduced to £80 if paid within 14 x days , also shift workers , sorry I digress as usual, lol
Have also read that regarding the jag 4.4 being a very good engine , will be interesting to see what ur views are on it over time
That's a very interesting clip of an MP who's trying to help millions of people, having shown what a despot the said mayor is, perhaps he should be hounded out of office like a previous prime minister, only time will show!D3 4.4 V8 2005 sadly now gone
Freelander 2 i6 HSE now gone was a very good 4x4

Got the dreaded alternator whine, and a whiff of smoke/burning/whatever you want to call it. Battery voltage was yesterday 11.5 -ish, trying to recondition with a ctek didn’t seem to help, either. Vehicle did not want to start this morning at the local Indy.
So - new Denso alternator and new battery (Exide EK960 this time) and all is well again.
