Discovery 4 Sdv6 Crankshaft bearings? |

New 5w40 oil and no metals on oil filter.
Does this engine sound Normal?

Yes hopefully we got alot of input . i know there is alot of movement in a big V6, and this is without undercover and in a garage with concrete. but still i can hear this little klonk.. Wich might be normal..
So please you well knowledgeable disco owners let us know?

Sounds ok, but it is a little difficult judging from a clip. By the car perhaps something additional could come across.
If you are worried, need a second opinion and are not too far off from the west end of lake Mälaren, I can provide you with the contact to a very experienced and reputable LR-specialist. One of the very few in this country.

I know the diesel sound is abit harsh but there is still this if you listen real close this "tapping Kluck" I'm abit worried about..
Dont live close by Mälaren but maybe you could send a pm with his number?
Can anyone actually hear this background klonk.. cause once u notice it, i'ts at least to me kinda hard to ignore

UPDATE:
I've located the issue and it's not the crankshaft bearings but instead it's the auxiliary belt tensioner to one to the left looking from the front.
Anyone want me to upload a video to YouTube so u can see the tensioner vobbling?

Well, to be honest the vibration is still there but alot less.
But turns out it was actually the seconds tensioner that was a little worn. Although both hade done 18.200km
