Quote - Hard to believe that this is going to be only the third generation of Land Rover’s mid-size 4x4, isn’t it?

Huhhh?

D1 200/300
D2 TD5
D3 TDV6 2.7
D4 SDV6 3.0

So therefore the D5?? Even if you lump the D3/4 into one the D1 and D2 were completely different vehicles, chassis, engines etc

We are kind of assuming it will be called the Discovery 5. They could call it the Discovery Vision, or Discovery Jelly Mould. Whistle

Looks like they've raided the parts department at the local VW dealer. Very Golf.

Looks a bit smooth plastic like which has a cheap look IMO. Nice to see two proper cup holders still and can make out same terrain response setting.

Good grief, they really have embraced boring and dull. So what of the often-quoted effort to keep the soul of the Discovery? More like 'what has everyone else been photocopying for the last 5 years and photocopy it again'.

JLR are making the original generation Audi Q7, minus the performance, as cheaply as possible with frequent dips into the parts bin.

After the commendable effort with the RRS2 they must have taken the design teams aside and told them to make the FFRR, RRS2 and F-Pace look good by building a car that is as dull on the outside as the jelly-mould is on outside.

Looks like the EPB switch could be under that bit of tape in front of the arm rest. It could be to tell the driver not to use it or it will break. Or it's already broken. Laughing

LR are doing their best to remove all temptation to upgrade. Skoda yeti looks better inside than that.
I bet Volvo are rubbing their hands at the moment Confused

My thoughts exactly, although if they get the quality on par with the Golf,I for one won't complain....I still marvel at the build quality of my wife's Golf even after 7 months.
