And another thing , as I said in the shouty Putney cafe owner thread, it does seem to be people in D4's lowering the tone with their behaviour
There were never stories like this when it was just D3's. I think there needs to be some form of vetting of who can drive D4's as it's all getting a bit low rent Tony

I see far more people using phones to call and send texts than I do people eating breakfast.
Yes she is wrong and now its exposed, she must face the music, but its a feckin traffic jam FFS! Are we all to sit tight, with both hands on the wheel all the time? do you do that? Where is the common sense in all this faux-traffic police culture?
I think the cyclist is a , and she is dumb. She needs to do some porridge.

The law is clear. When you are driving with the engine on, you are required to be able to control the car and operate it, even when stationary in traffic. People have been done for eating crisps or an apple. There is no such thing as common sense, as many people are incapable of driving properly, and relying on common sense will not decrease the 1700 or so who die on our roads each year, and the thousands more who are maimed.
What if a fire engine came and needed to get past her into the side road? How long is it going to take her to put the cereal down, get into gear, steer and move? Assuming she's not sitting holding it just on the footbrake Which she appears to be as she drives forward still holding the bowl. So no hands available if something unexpected happens. What if she gets nudged from behind (apart from spilling milk) and her foot comes off the footbrake? It's all very well having 'common sense' until it goes horribly wrong.
The simple fact most people do not take driving seriously enough, which is why even with all the technology far too many are killed or injured on our roads. Personally I think she should be prosecuted. Along with every other idiot who thinks it is ok to handle a phone or a bowl of cereal whilst driving. Including the Merc driver who ran into me last week on a small road leading into a school whilst I was stationary in a line of traffic Tony

Looks at watch, wonders how long before someone turns up and blames the cyclist...
...then spots the other thread and realises that they're already here.

I do not believe you people not really stating that chick in 2.5 tons of a car should have not been banned?????
she was filmed holding the bowl while almost stationary but seconds later she took off in doing exactly the same .... she should have no license for the sole fact of being brainless fecking bitch endangering everyone in the traffic that day
perhaps she should have installed steering wheel mounted portable table and have full spread of the full English and a cuppa of hot coffee as well????
I do not believe so many people OKing it .... it shows clearly why there is so much wrong doing around cos there is so much acceptance for wrong doing and it starts very innocent with a breakfast ROTLF lame!!!
if i was there i would block her way until the bowl would go down or better out the fecking window emptied!!!

I guess what gives him the right to make a fuss about it is the sincere desire not to be knocked down and killed by a moron driving 2.7 tonne lump of metal.
We are all responsible for the things we do when behind the wheel, yes that does include cyclists some of whose behaviour when riding is equally appalling.Autologic remap, Superpro front lower bushes.
