I certainly know where I won't be looking to get any fashion advice from if I want to leave the cave behind...

Lot of people are quick to pick fault with Gerry McGovern but he’s the reason LR are still here today. He’s oversaw the design of one car that’s divided opinion and now he’s Satan himself, but of course if he gets the Defender right all will be forgotten 23.5MY Defender 90 X-Dynamic SE D250 MHEV Pangea Green

@ J77: I'm not really used to thinking in the timescales that LR do in terms of the Defender replacement
It'll probably leave it up to the next generation to judge the success of the new Defender's design...
Does anyone else here remember the development period for the Norton W4nkel engine?

Funny how things change. Previously, matte could be found on cars that one painted with a spray can in your backyard. Now matte is associated with the high-high end.
Glad I'm not the only one who thinks that. I saw a guy driving a Lambo that had been wrapped in a burgundy matte. It just looked to me like it was in primer and he was saving up for some paint - like in my younger days

I had a door painted matte on my Opel Kadett MY84 (that’s a Vauxhall Astra something to all you Britons) because, shall we say, financial constraints.
A few hundred years ago the ideal rich person was supposed to be white as a sheet, only workers (peasants) had a tan. Now people pay to go to Benidorm or Canary Islands to get a tan.

Love the matte paintwork and the wheel\tyre combo 8) ...not so keen on the orange.

I seem to have facilitated some healthy debate with my photos
It does seem to be a 'marmite' car, love it or hate it.
For what it is worth, from my close inspection I would comment as follows:
1. I didn't like the orange bits.
2. I didn't like the matt paint finish.
3. I did like the led light bar neatly moulded into the roof cross bar.
4. I did like the interior finish.
I hope this post keeps the 'healthy debate' going

Thought the car looked ok. Not sure the matt is a great idea with all the insects that thing will hit.
But on another level, WHITE LEATHER INTERIOR ?????
Please remind me what this car is supposed to be used for? I'm very very confused.My16 HSE Landmark - 2016 - Current. Indus Silver
