Discovery SVX v new defender
Hi,
I hear a few people are unhappy with the D5 for offroading (mainly inability to fit smaller rims with proper offroad tyres, worries about fitting rock sliders...) and are saying they are waiting on the New defender but not one of them has said they are waiting to see what the SVX will be like.
Anyone, have any insight into what these as yet to be released vehicles may offer and likely advantages one might have over the other?regards
Peter

You can get a lift kit for the D5 and more aggressive rubber at the moment. 19" wheels are available also.
JLR have said they may look at project vehicles like the Jag project 7/8 but the LR project vehicles will focus on extreme off road ability.23.5MY Defender 90 X-Dynamic SE D250 MHEV Pangea Green

Looking good I can't help thinking that it needs something to 'rough up' the smooth front end a bit for this more off-road style ... maybe some kind of bar, or even just a set of LED spots/grille light barD4 XS, gone, much loved, never forgotten

Front of this looks great, really have warmed to the styling but they can not make that rear quarter work with any wheel can they? Looks so wrong no matter how I look at it.
