Mine is euro 4 and I blanked the egr valves off and removed the butterfly. Also fitted a decat downpipe and a “free flow” (read as made bespoke) crossover. I’ve not had the eml come on yet and car is much more responsive (after I changed turbo and gearbox) lol. Remap next after I finally sort the intercooler. Actually can’t get over the difference in the car. But then I’ve never had one running well in standard form to compare it to Laughing the guys who made my crossover are doing the rest of the exhaust soon.

I’ve never had my car on a computer to date, I’ve owned it for 6 years now. I’ve never seen the engine light come on so far.

Oooooookay,
Starting to get somewhere with this Arrow
So where can I buy a “patch”
And what’s the exact technical name for a “patch” ?
And can I fit it myself or do I need a technician with a laptop to do it ? Shocked

Is this what I need ?
Is it difficult navigating through the IID to do it ?

If I fit the blanks without the patch & remapping will the car go into limp mode or just light up the dash ?

It varies from car to car, with (seemingly) no pattern to what car brings the light on and what car completely Censored itself Laughing

This is exactly where I am right now.

Just finished changing the airstruts myself and getting and EGR light and codes....
Taking a deep breath...

Figured out how to install the blanks to pass MOT in 2024, but now I need to figure out how to fix the car ECU... not sure if it will "just" get a light or will go on full limp mode.
