Have they replaced the brake switch? “There are only three sports: bullfighting, motor racing, and mountaineering; all the rest are merely gamesâ€

Mechanical
Software
Drivers Mind
galwaygreen I would have insisted that they reflash engine and gearbox from the latest disk 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

So this software update can only be done on MY13, it doesn't apply to MY12 cars. Yet again they can't find anything wrong and no fault codes and it decides to behave on a test drive. It has been awful since the cold weather started, but of course its quite a few degrees warmer today. The difference betweem Euan's and mine was incredible (as he will testify to) after we had both had the update and drove them back to back on the same bit of road. I'm wondering if the stuttering I had a while back could be related, but that seems to have cured itself at present, could that also be cold related???
There is however a new FBH software update for 2012 cars, not a clue what that does.
Also had a look around, there seems to have been a huge price hike since I bought mine, a MY13 GS is virtually what I paid for a MY12 XS, with another coming along shortly, glad I bought when I did. Joined the BMWX5 45e group

Mines back in on Thursday for them to try a new electronic throttle - I'm not convinced but it's worth a try.
Interestingly I had two extreme episodes last week on cold mornings trying to reverse out of a parking space that was slightly uphill. I actually had the throttle pressed right down to the floor whilst backing out and the revs didn't increase at all! Once I got moving forward the revs finally picked up and then the car was normal.
The second morning I even blipped the throttle before selecting reverse to check the engine would respond. It did in Park but once in Reverse it was as above and just crawled out of the space at tickover with the throttle pressed to the floor. MY2022 D5 HSE D300 - with extra nice bits added

Well, my car got the new throttle fitted on Thursday afternoon and I'm sure they gave me a different car back. They claim they "washed" it which explains the suspiciously shiny exterior but they did an amazingly good job of replicating the interior dirt. However I still know this isn't the same car I took to the garage.
This one responds instantly to my right foot!
I haven't fully tested it with the dreaded "right turn out of the lane" yet but so far so good. MY2022 D5 HSE D300 - with extra nice bits added

I had my 1st service yesterday and they must have updated the software because like DG the car is now smooth as silk, I had the "hesitation" update about 5months ago which on my car was a improvement, but now its much better drives like a Rolls Peter
