we thought buying new would ease the strain....£42K worth of car,,,just hope we can get a fix when we go back to the dealer again next week....they have spoken with Pete TODAY and he suggesting
the dealer can call for technical assistance from LR

The dealer had my car for the afternoon: The news was that the only new update was for the pop-up gear knob. Nothing for engine or gearbox.
It's going back in a couple of weeks and they're going to try a new electronic throttle. Apparently a dodgy throttle can be the cause, it should leave fault codes if its faulty but occasionally they don't.
I'm not convinced by their latest theory but I'll give it a go.
I haven't felt any difference with my newly updated knob  MY2022 D5 HSE D300 - with extra nice bits added
MY2019 D5 HSE 3.0 SDV6 - sold to a dealer for a crazy price! - So good I bought another!
MY2012 D4 HSE 3.0 SDV6 - retired to a new home

There is no "new update" there is just "latest software" .....various aspects of the vehicle software is evolving with each new disk\ download to JLR dealerships. It is not ...I repeat not a new update as in a TSB. 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

no,,,,,,,,,LR created the monster.
i dont mind if they just put the latest rubber band init
today again everything lost when the throttle went down...slow speed
perhaps it is the throttle and not engine..gearbox
for 42 grand i did expect a little better

My car is 18 months old, about 25000 miles now MY2022 D5 HSE D300 - with extra nice bits added

That's what they checked. Apparently everything except my knob software was already the latest version. MY2022 D5 HSE D300 - with extra nice bits added

The last update was when they put the hesitation "fix" TSB on.
It might be that I already have the latest software for a MY2012 car. The later versions are perhaps only suitable for newer vehicles?
Anyway, the dealer's computer said that the software on my car was already the latest version, so they're going to try a new electronic throttle. MY2022 D5 HSE D300 - with extra nice bits added

I don't know sadly Jon ..what I do know is they didn't roll back the TSB update to the original stock software that would have been applied at the factory ...they used one of these latest SDD software disks \ downloads.
Needs further investigation to clarify methinks 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

I had the TSB put in twice along with a new brake light switch, Euan can verify that mine is awful compared to how his was. It did seem to be a bit better for a while but soon went back to normal Joined the BMWX5 45e group
