I used one of these with my Defender 110... great. Easy to attach to the rack or rails.. quick, easy, flexible and cheap too... attach or use free standing to 'reserve' your spot on the camp site when your away for the day!

Thanks for that, ended up going for something similar but a bit more basic and a whole lot cheaper!

Just waiting on a certain forum legend to make some more antenna mounts to give me something to attach it too Whistle

Further to this post, I happened to be looking at these for consideration of getting one for the other side and noticed there has been a decent price drop.

I have used one for a full season now. The only modification for me was that I incorporated an extra set of poles to give a bigger "footprint" over covered area.

In use, at one end is a fibre glass pool that stiffens one side, that also contains quick release clips and works perfectly with standard disco bars.

Takes about five minutes to set up in all but the wickedest of weather.

When you are "driving away" it is easy to detach and I have found that if you combine with bungees and two additional pegs you can leave it in situ while you are away..

Note - have to get it "just right" to avoid puddles in wet weather.

At less than £60 including shipping I think they are excellent value for money - for general weekend camping in the UK at the least.

EDIT - the suction cups are utterly useless for their intended purpose, however are quite handy for hanging lanterns and the like from the side of the car Twisted Evil
 D3 07 SE - still going strong
D3 07 HSE - gone to car heaven
FL1 - gone to Romania
D3 05 HSE - gone to a divorce diet
D1 V8 manual - gone but not forgotten
RR Classic - gone to car heaven

Jeeps, Lexus, X-trails... Too many to name..
