Fitting Discovery 4 wing mirrors on a Discovery 3
Hello, can anyone point me in the direction of a guide showing how to wire up Discovery 4 wing mirrors on a Discovery 3, I went ahead and fitted my mirrors only to find the electric/power connectors are different. See images. The discovery 3 wing mirrors have two connection blocks whereas the discovery 4 wing mirrors have a single connection block.
Anyone got advise on how to connect the Discovery 4 wing mirrors up? e.g. adding new connector blocks or changing wiring etc...?
Thanks
John

What variety of D4 mirrors have you bought?
I have some MY15 mirrors on my D3 (with the indicators in the mirror housing), non power fold models, and all I did was swap my connector blocks over from the D3 mirrors to the D4 ones.
The wires are all coloured the same, you just need to swap them over in the same order.

The wing mirrors are off a 2012 D4 HSE, not as new as the D4.5 ones with indicators in mirror housing which you fitted but they have power fold (i think), heated glass etc...

Can anyone point me in the direction of the wiring diagrams for Discovery 3 and Discovery 4 power fold wing mirrors? The 2012 D4 wing mirrors I am trying to fit have a few different coloured cables e.g. Yellow and red, black and blue, red and white which my original D3 power fold ones don't have

Do you have 1 or 2 connectors on the car for the mirrors?

I haven't done it with the memory mirrors. You will need the wire diagram for the memory D3 mirrors and the D4 mirrors and then match up the wires. You will also have to remove the connectors from the old mirrors and use with the new.

You have memory I'd say, that's why you have 2 connectors. You must have memory buttons on your drivers seat switch? I have just 1 connector on my D3 for heated powerfold mirrors as below. This connector had 3 wires for mirror glass movement, 2 wires for power fold, 1 for heating and 1 earth.

I do have memory seats
Thanks you have been a great help.
So I need to cut the single connector off my new mirrors and cut the two off my old mirrors and try and match up the wires ?
I know that some of the colours are different ?
