In most counties it is illegal to have driving lights on with anything other than main beem.
Why would you want them on with low beam anyway?“There are only three sports: bullfighting, motor racing, and mountaineering; all the rest are merely gamesâ€

You would have to re-wire them so that the relay is triggered on dip and main beam and not just main beam.
Do anyone know if there is a wiring diagram for how the Land Rover kit is connected up?06 D3 SE / 15 LR D90 XS SW / 88 LR 90 Td5 / 68 BMW 2000 ti
Any issues with the site let me know!

spotlight fitting
Hi Gareth
Thanks for pointing me in the right direction I started the fitting today of my LR spotlights, not finished yet as I run out of time. If and when I buy another Disco, I dont want to drill the bumper on this one as I would take the spotlights off and then refit or resell.
Do you know if anyone has fitted the spotlights on a bracket system other than drilling the bumper, If not it looks like Im going to have to engineer something, I am also going to upgrade the LR spotlight to HID so I will let everyone know when Ive done this.
Something that I noticed on the OE wiring I got with the spotlights the terminals wont go into the plugs unless you bend a little silver tab flat on the terminal then they pop in no problem and lock into place
cheers

That would be a 'template' I assume?
I am sure someone has one left over from fitting.
Looks like it may not need one.
Instructions are on :

Hi Carved!
Yes, i'm speaking about a template.
I didnt' remembere the correct word.
Now i've installed the spot light..but it has come out another problem: they does not start: the switch on the dash board it works and lights, but this is not for spot light.
Does anyone know if i have to enable spot light from the CPU?
Does anyone know if i have to enable spot light from the CPU?
If you've used the LR wiring kit then Yes, you'll need a dealer with IDS or someone with Autologic/Faultmate to enable themThe End

Just wanted to add something to this,if a few years later!
I bought this kit and had my local LR specialist fit for me.Very pleased with the look of them but thats all.
As a set of lights they make great paperweights!!!!
Also the first set I had,had a hairline crack in one of the lenses so I called my specialist(AJD LandRovers in Hoddesdon)who ordered me another set. However whilst waiting for them to arrive I had a trip to Leicester and back in the middle of summer (around 200 miles)and needless to say the car was covered in flies! So I thought I would wash the car before returning to AJD to remove the flies from the lamps,at which point I discovered that running a wet sponge over these LR lamps causes them to fill with water!!!so did the second set.And the third.
At this point Andy at AJD suggested he would take the car to The main dealer in Bishops Stortford and have them replace them. And as it turns out, they got four sets in and only found two lamps that did'nt let water in which they fitted for me.
Land Rover sent these lamps for investigation and refuse to admit that there is a problem!
Now I dont know about you guys but I would expect that spot lamps designed to fit on the front of an offroad vehicle built by the words so called premier 4x4 manufacturer would be waterproof.
I now have lamps that only leak a little bit.
None of this saga do I lay at AJD Land Rovers of Hoddesdons door, they were and are very helpfull and have said that in future they will advise customers not to go for this kit and suggest alternatives.
I would be very interested to hear from anyone else who had this water ingress problem.
Cheers and sorry to have on your bonfire!

I do not have this kit, but i would like to make my own custom loom as close to factory spec as possible.
I found the connector under the fuse box today, I had a quick look:
I did extend those wires to outside of the box so I have something to work with.
The 2 wires, one is thicker than the other. The thickest one i guess are ment for +ve for the lamps, the other thiner one is +ve to relay coil.
In connector C0580 (CJB) pin 13, this one goes to the switch on pin 2 perhaps and pin 4 is perhaps gnd. Now the question is, is this an On/off switch or is it a pulse switch? In other words, does pin 13 on connector C0580 needs Gnd to activate the relay for the extra driving lamps, Or am I wrong here?
There is this Connector C0041 to the light switch, pin 9 and 16, Im not sure what they are for, my guess this is for backlight for the switch?
I havent got any futher than studying the installation manual and inserting a 15A fuse in pos 19.
The next I have to do, is enable this in the ccf, thats quick'n'easy.
I was hoping someone had this info, so i do not have to invent the wheel again.
