Once you remove the HK system you lose 4x4 info and GPS and are left with the LR logo, there are ways around it but its not easy. Some guys extend the harness and keep the original head unit under the passenger seat and wire in a new one.

Yes you can, i know a few with HSE logic7 systems that have done it.
The original must be fully connected and a new system piggy backs the harness.
