Front LED indicator bulbs - resistor wiring guidance
Plenty of info on the rears and side lights when i search but not so much on the fronts
I did the headlight mod a while back and fitted LED indicator bulbs, the internal relay has been spuzzing about for a while at double speed, i put up with it, but now i have had enough
I have the resistors but not sure what wires to bridge on the rear of the plugs (the resistors are too big to fit inside the lamp unit)
I cant recall off the top of my head but are the pins in the plug numbered (if so which ones are they) or does anyone know which coloured wires i need to bridge to sort out the front lamps.
Any help apprecietd

Sorry - should have mentioned i got them from HIDS4U and they still need the resitors to make them work
I originally ordered the 382's by mistake and they exchanged them for the Canbus ones - still need resistors though.......

I can confirm the CanBus ones don't stop the fast flashing, I used the same ones in mine, they are a much better light though.
I fitted the resistors inside the headlight units on mine, it saves compromising the external wiring and keeps it neat. I posted a couple of pictures in this thread : -

Ahhhh! The resistors I have are a good bit longer. Think I will invest in some other ones and try and fit in the lamp as you have done. Hopefully that will do the trick. Thanks for the info.

Chocolate should be ok, however the cheese ones are to be avoided
Seriously though, they're not that critical, anything around 6.8 to 10 ohms should work fine, a minimum wattage of 25W will ensure they don't overheat.Clive

I used the one's below and stuck them onto the bodywork with Areldite about a year ago, took about 15mins per side to do and I have had no problems, work perfect. Also done the rears with D4 lamps.

Had the same problem as crwoody, well still have, got these from fleabay, have not tried to fit them yet so can not tell you if the work or where to put the resistor, but if you dont want to touch the wiring these should do the job.

Have you been successful at fitting these yet? Interested to hear if these resistors can be hidden within the light unit.Colin

Hi Comc, I'm sorry but i have not had a chance to try them yet. The company don't ship to Austria so i had them shipped to my mother in the UK, she is flying out in the next in 2 weeks time just before our baby is due and she is bringing them with her.
I should have a few days before the baby is due to quickly try them, i doubt if i will have time to take the headlight apart before the birth, but at least i will be abel to have a look to see if the resistor will fit in the light and if it does the job of stopping the quick flashing.
I will post something up when i have tried them for you so at least you will know if they actually due the job. 2015 D4 HSE LUX Kaikoura Stone(sold)

There's plenty of room to fit the resistors inside the light units without taking them apart, with the unit out of the car, you can remove the two access caps for the headlight and indicator and it's easy.
If you have adaptive Xenons, just make sure that the resistors are secured in some way and the wires don't foul the mechanism.

@den2013 No worries mate...... Sounds like you will have a busy time ahead.
@crwoody Thanks for the info and pic. I have had the light unit out recently but have only taken the indicator and sidelight caps off, never the headlight cap. It does look quite spacious in there. Colin
