I know this will pretty quickly get linked to the Brexit thread but I know lots of people myself included have got somewhat frustrated by anyone daring to have a view that leaving Europe is a good thing..
Here is a view from a German MEP who thinks it will be disastrous for the EU....
Worth listening to...

Farmer Chalk - Many thanks.
It's also worth reading the comments on that speech here:-

Very interesting video with a fresh perspective. I can't see how it supports the case for leaving though, I particularly liked the line:
"We can't ignore this or run away. The EU must be reformed from within" (6.00/6.27).
Please explain, how does this support the Brexit supporter's case for running away? 2011 - 2015: 3 x FL2
2015 - 2017: 2 x D4

AfD. Lovely. There are any number of Farage videos in the same vein, in the same building.
Read The Dark Valley
Brexit. We have all the cards. Easiest deal in history. They need us more than we need them. Punishment beatings. Take back control. (Oh, and prorogue Parliament; who needs representative democracy when you have “the Will of the People”?)
Of course this will quickly be linked to Brexit, because it is Brexit, and that’s what you wanted.

Yeah ...I can see how she could be linked to brexit
Quote:Since about 2015, the AfD has been increasingly open to working with far-right extremist groups such as Pegida. Parts of the AfD have racist, Islamophobic, anti-Semitic, and xenophobic tendencies linked to far-right movements such as neo-Nazism and identitarianism. 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

Just to make clear, I didn't mean my post to look like I'm supporting German's nearest equivalent to the odious NF/Brexit Party! Apologies for that
But, I like the way that Disco3/4.co.uk has more hard core political discussion than any other Land Rover website that I'm aware of.
@ Stuff: Can The Dark Valley be read without the obvious parallels to post 2015-16 politics (especially Trump & Farage) being too depressing? 2011 - 2015: 3 x FL2

I remember that link. Everyone will take what they want from it depending on what side of the fence you sit.
Politically and Brexit wise, things are set now, no point in arguing about it. It’s completely out of our hands for better or worse.

Not at all.
The slow-motion-car-crash may still be on and the battle lost, but the fight for deal or no deal is still very much alive. I can't see how Johnson can get a no deal through now, not without some kind of suspension of democracy until after we crash out. Although imposing the utterly unacceptable (to the EU) precondition over the backstop was a master stroke to attempt to brush the whole thing under the carpet until it's too late. 2011 - 2015: 3 x FL2

Ahh you’ve awoken.....
No one has said it’s going to be easy, we all understand the potential rough ride the country has to endure..it’s not going to be pretty but believe it or not the majority of us decided we want to leave because we all tired of the minutiae of rules and regulations that the EU impose on our life....it’s only the same as all the Scottish, Irish, Welsh and Cornish who would like to devolve their powers to be able to manage their affairs locally.
This video shows one person who happens to be German giving their opinion on why she thinks it’s a bad idea and the EU have treated us badly.... funnily enough I don’t hear her say anything racially motivated, bigoted or extreme far right naziism.... it’s a quick video clip.....
I suppose I could just run video after video of Diane Abbott on every thread
Please don’t bother trying to tell me i’m wrong...it’s just someone else giving a viewpoint....
DG are your quotes relating to the AfD or have you taken a direct lift out of the Labour Party manifesto? Think all of your accusations are nearer to home within your own party....
Happy for the thread to be locked!

Doing nothing will result in leaving by default without a vote in Parliament. That’s my understanding.
That aside, watching the TV news today, it was going on about the Liberal Democrats and how their name is a misnomer, considering they support an undemocratic minority view to stay in the EU.

Well there is a concern in one area I'd agree but certainly not all ...I'd pin those to your party 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

And yet they keep winning by elections by presenting an alternative to the other political parties-how do they do this you may ask?
A democratic vote takes place, the very thing Brexit supporters seem to be afraid of now.

Please explain the minutiae of rules and regulations that the EU impose on our life.
Especially those rules and regulations that the UK government would not have imposed on the UK public or has imposed with some alterations.
Now the UK MOT is based on the EU Periodic Roadworthiness Test. Now the standard UK MOT is an annual test after 3 years. As far as I am aware the EU periodic Roadworthiness test states it must be done after the first four years and then every two years.
Now a member state of the EU is allowed to set a higher standard hence the UK 3 year and annual test.
Now are you saying that the UK would not have an annual MOT but for the imposition of a periodic roadworthiness test imposed on the UK by the EU? The MOT was first introduced in the UK in 1960 before the UK joined the then Common Market.
Now Bo Jo the kipper waving clown certainly does not understand the rules of the EU and even what countries are in the EU. Smoked fish regulations are down to individual countries and the Isle of Man s not in the EU. So Bo Jo the clown just muddies the waters with his lies/misinformation/poor research yet again.
