....How hard can it be.....
Depends how inebriated the "technicians" get after a couple of fitments....alcohol, power tools, Heine and Deon......recipe for big excitement, I reckon
Maybe we can get all hi-tech and take pics whie we do the job

Alcohol and powertools .... my 2 old friends ...seems going to be a tough job after all Just hope I have fingers left over to push the steering controls when I'm done
Seriously though, from the documentation I've seen it seems a relatively simple install. Or am I just being hopeful ?What do you mean it won't go there ?

Thanks Nick!
I have to confess, I did my 2 in 90 minutes. Its easy in the D3, a bit more of a challenge in the RRS cos of the extra bits of trim that need removing.
I am still on for Saturday, though. Now I'm experienced too
This is a versatile unit - I have tested a 160Gb and 8Gb iPod and they work fine.
Thats what we expected.
But it also works with a USB stick, N95 (in mass storage mode, although you can't use the memory card) not sure how to navigate thru the folders (holding skip for 2 sec as per the manual doesn't work). Doesn't work with my HTC though.....

OK, so lets meet at 10am saturday?
Its the earliest I can do, seeing as I have to go get my butt whipped by some kids from 8:30 to 9:30.
You should all have my phone number from my emails, so just sms me to let me know you are coming, then I can arrange security clearance and send you my address.
If you need my phone number just pm me.
If anyone needs a choon, I will be able to do that too

Hi
I was just looking at the fitting instructions and note that the negative battery connector must be disconnected first as expected when working with these things. Does this mean I will need a radio code of sorts, or is this all integrated and unnecessary as I suspect ?
ThanksWhat do you mean it won't go there ?

100% success
Well, we had a little tea party and fitment went well. It was lovely to see the turnout. Such a pity my neighbour "toy" fan wasn't there to appreciate the sight.
We had some fun, thanks guys.

Baben,
Thanks for the assistance and the "refreshments". Your experience helped make the fitment fairly painless.
Think the "Toy" fan might use the picture of all the bonnets open as a "propaganda shot"
