Clutch went for second tme, was not prepared to let car go to Barretts in Ashford as they put the last one in only 300 miles ago. As a result LRA agreed to car going to Guy Salmon at Aylsford near Maidstone Kent. poke to Steve in service department after D3 went off on low loader (Tuesday morning 0800). Steve promised to keep me informed, sure enough got a call a few hours later confirming a new clutch assembly and flywheel were required which were already on order. Got gall 1130 Wednesday to confirm all new parts fitted an car road tested with no issues, did I wat it delivered to my house some 50 miles away. Car was delvered within two hour wash and fully cleaned.
This was a top service that has even suprised LR customer service. I have only driven car about 2 miles but all seems OK so far. I cannot praise GS enough and will in future be taking the car there for all future work. They have offered a collection and delivery service even though we live 50 miles away. Top service. Well I can only speak from a vast history with them, so are you sitting down
Its Christmas eve so i will keep it short, although Ive got all night because I'm waiting to do my Santa bit so could be up a while
When guy salmon were, dutton forshaw they were absolute , and that's being way to polite
Then they changed to Medway land rover, different name same to$$ers unfortunately
But to be fair since they changed to guy salmon they haven't been to bad, and they sorted out a few warranty issues on the D3, but only with me going in armed with some knowledge from this site, otherwise they were looking to screw me, like Saw has said.
Keep clear from the clowns at Canterbury , what a bunch they are
Hope Beadles at sidcup keep up with the A1 service that I'm receiving at the moment, but they always seem that bit keener when selling
I went to Beadles because I wouldn't personally choose to use guy salmon, due to mainly past experiences, but do still hear the same stories from other landy owners about the poor service there.
Always found what was hunt grange good at tonbridge but they recently changed to hunters, and couldn't beat Beadles with a price on my new one by a long way.
Good luck with the clutch
P.s They changed mine on the D3 after a little persuasion and all was well
